What is the RHA® Collection of Fillers?
In the past, dermal fillers only treated some lines and wrinkles. The RHA® Collection of fillers can treat both static and dynamic wrinkles. As the first FDA-approved fillers for dynamic lines and wrinkles, the RHA® Collection has been in high demand, but only a select few practices have been chosen to offer it.
HOW DO THE RHA® COLLECTION OF FILLERS WORK?
The fillers in this collection can address two different types of lines and wrinkles. They have a unique long-chain hyaluronic acid formula that holds together and moves with your facial features better than any other filler. As a result, they are the only fillers FDA-approved to treat static and dynamic lines.
Static Lines
Most dermal fillers work on static lines. These include deep lines caused by loss of facial volume or skin sagging. Adding volume to these areas with a dermal filler will lift the wrinkles and make them look smoother. When your face is at rest, the fillers in the RHA® Collection look smooth and natural.
Dynamic Lines
These lines form when underlying muscle activity pulls the skin into wrinkles and creases. Over time, this can create deep lines, especially around the eyes, on the forehead, and around the mouth.
Am I a Good Candidate for the RHA® Collection of Fillers?
Most people make good candidates for the RHA® Collection of fillers. Their hyaluronic acid formula mimics skin’s own for a natural appearance and minimal risk of reactions. Hyaluronic acid is the most popular dermal filler material and is used safely worldwide.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
A typical RHA® fillers treatment takes about 15 to 30 minutes per session, depending on how many areas you have treated. There may be a slight pinch during the injection, but minimal discomfort.
What Results Will I See with RHA® Fillers?
The RHA® Collection has been designed to look more natural than any other dermal filler. It also treats dynamic lines and wrinkles previously out of reach for dermal fillers. This allows it to last considerably longer than typical hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Your results can last up to 18 months or even longer. This timeline applies even when these fillers are used in the lips, where other dermal fillers usually only last about six to nine months.
Is There Any Downtime with the RHA® Collection of Fillers?
After your filler injections, you can return to most daily activities such as work. You will be given specific instructions from your injector regarding what to avoid, such as strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and airplane travel. A few days after treatment, bruising, swelling, and minor discomfort are expected. Your injector will walk you through what to anticipate with your specific treatment.
- Avoid taking aspirin, vitamin E, garlic, alcohol, Ginko Biloba, fish oil, or any blood thinners for 5 days before treatment as these can increase the risk for bruising.
- Avoid dental work or vaccinations 2 weeks before & after treatment.
- You may have some redness, swelling, and bruising that can last a few days post-treatment. However, most of this is mild. Most people return to work the next day and can cover most of this with makeup.
- Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours.
- Wait 4-6 weeks after injection for any Med Spa service on the face.
