How Does Juvederm® Voluma® XC Work?

Am I a Good Candidate for Juvederm® Voluma® XC?
You’re a good candidate for this treatment if you’ve seen volume loss in your cheeks or you have noticeable wrinkles and creases around your cheeks and underneath your eyes.
You’re also a good candidate for Juvederm® Voluma® XC injections if you feel that your overall facial shape is too round and you want more contours and angles. Our injection specialist is highly skilled at using Voluma® to add the right contours for your face shape.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
Juvederm® Voluma® XC injections take about 30 minutes to perform, which is why it’s referred to as a “lunchtime procedure.”
What Results Will I See?*
Results include more apple-like cheeks and minimized mid-facial wrinkles. Results are immediate & typically last between 12 to 18 months.
Is There Any Downtime?
There’s no downtime associated with injections, although you might experience minor swelling and slight bruising at the treated site.
- Avoid taking aspirin, vitamin E, garlic, alcohol, Ginko Biloba, fish oil, or any blood thinners for five days before treatment as these can increase the risk for bruising.
- Avoid dental work or vaccinations two weeks before and after treatment.
- You may have some redness, swelling, and bruising that can last a few days post-treatment. However, most of this is mild. Most people return to work the next day and can cover any bruising with makeup.
- Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours.
- Wait four to six weeks after injection for any Med Spa service on the face.
