How Does a Chemical Peel Work?
While every chemical peel is different, they’re all designed to help repair the dermal layers where damage is most obvious. Some do this slowly over time and with repeated treatments, while a stronger facial peel removes the top dermal layers within a single session. Once the skin has healed, the complexion appears younger, smoother, and even.

You’re a good candidate for a chemical peel if you have moderate signs of aging (including wrinkles and fine lines), hyperpigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and more.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
A typical treatment takes about 30-45 minutes to perform.

What Results Will I See?*
Your skin will need to heal for about three weeks; after this period, you’ll begin to notice your skin looking younger and more radiant, with fewer signs of aging.
Is There Any Downtime?
Your skin may be pink to red and have may have visible peeling for 2-7 days. Most of the peeling does not start until 2 days after your peel was performed. Not everyone peels. The majority of our peels you can go back to work however with the deeper ones you may prefer some time off work.
- Avoid products with glycolic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin A, hydroquinone, & retinol for 5-7 days before treatment.
- Refer to post-care instructions given at the treatment for step-by-step instructions. In addition, all peel treatments come with a complimentary Post-Care Kit.
- Peeling typically lasts 2-5 days.
- Healing typically lasts 7-10 days.
- The use of sunscreen is crucial.
