Heather is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant at Twin Ports Dermatology. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Health & Wellness from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University. She has been practicing medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology for over 12 years and truly loves what she does! She knew early on that she wanted to go into Dermatology because she loves to treat patients of all ages and it is truly rewarding seeing the skin improve in front of your eyes.

She is a proud member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants, and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Heather is also a diplomat member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, a prestigious title given to Dermatology PAs after years of experience and further education in the field. A Dermatology Physician Assistant holds a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies with further training in dermatology. For more information on Physician Assistants, click here.

Heather has also been trained and certified as a Mohs Technician where she assists in the processing of tissue during skin cancer surgeries. She is also certified in lasers by the National Laser Institute and trained in Botox and fillers however she focuses most of her time on medical and surgical Dermatology since there is a great need for it in the Northland.

In her spare time you can find Heather at the cabin, traveling, and spending time with her family, including her sons Easton and Leo.

What bothers her most about her skin: My Melasma

Favorite Skin Care Tip: Results do not occur overnight. However, they will continue to improve the longer you use a product or continue your treatments. Prevention is always better! Start young wearing sunscreen, using medical-grade skincare and having skin procedures done to slow the aging process. Be aware of your skin and have it regularly examined by a trained Dermatology provider.
