Twin Ports Dermatology Promotes Youth Education

We had the privilege to go into preschools around the Duluth area and share how important sun safety is! This year, we presented to Hartley Nature Preschool and Hermantown Early Learning classes. Every year, Twin Ports Dermatology enjoys attending preschools to explain the importance of being safe in the sun. It is essential to learn about sun safety when the children are young so they can have healthy and happy skin in the future!

Engagement

We love our community and are happy to engage with the kiddos and the public about healthy sun habits! We shared information about sun safety, read them a book, and completed an activity with the preschoolers. The kids were engaged, asking questions, and excited to learn about what we had to share!

Each child got handouts about the information we shared so their guardians could reiterate the information with them in the future. They also received sunscreen samples and some coupons. In addition, we were able to donate sun shirts to all of the children; they were a hit! We felt fortunate to have this opportunity to share our knowledge and to spend time with the preschools! It was a great experience, and we can’t wait for more youth education in the future!
