Heather is co-owner of Twin Ports Dermatology; she and her husband started Twin Ports Dermatology in 2015. She is a Physician Assistant here, specializing in dermatology. Heather used to work in the Twin Cities area and never really had a dream of opening her own practice. But after her mother-in-law had melanoma and could not get into the dermatologist because of lack of access, Heather and Anthony were inspired to start their own practice here in the Northland. This family situation hit home for Heather, and she knew that starting Twin Ports Dermatology was what she and her husband were meant to do.
Heather has her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health and Wellness and then continued her education to get her Physician Assistant degree. She has always been interested in dermatology and specialized in it right away. Heather has worked in this field for fourteen years and still loves it! She also loves spending time with her family and has two boys that are 5 and 8 years old. The family loves to go to the family cabin and travel!
Due to the lack of access before Twin Ports Dermatology, the patients in the Northland are so grateful for dermatology care. It is harder to get into the dermatologist in the Northland versus the cities where they are more plentiful. It is rewarding that people here are so thankful to receive dermatology care. Heather’s favorite part of her job is spending time with her patients!
