Injectable neurotoxins are a group of treatments used to smooth wrinkles by temporarily stopping your facial nerves from sending signals to the targeted muscles. Injections of Botox®, Daxxify™, and Dysport® all treat expression lines and wrinkles. Along with being FDA-approved for aesthetic uses, they are all approved for medical use to treat muscle conditions and other issues. The most common facial areas for neurotoxin injections are the glabellar lines (lines between the brows), forehead creases, and crow’s feet around the eyes. Botox®, Daxxify™, and Dysport® all use botulinum toxin, so the difference in how long they take to work comes from the proteins attached to them. Of these, Daxxify™ starts working the most quickly, often within a day or two. It uses a small peptide instead of the larger protein used by its relatives. This can be a bonus for those who like to see results as quickly as possible.
Botox® results can appear within a few days but take at least a week to reach maximum benefits. How long each product takes to work varies from person to person, so we will work with you to find the best option for your needs. You may find that the patience to wait a few extra days allows you to achieve better results.

One neurotoxin may last longer than another for you, depending on how your body responds to it. In general, Botox® and Dysport® last three to four months, while some people can see Daxxify™ results for up to six months. You can extend your results and prevent wrinkle formation with our Age Defying Kit or maintain your results with our Advanced Smoothing Pads.
Despite the name, neurotoxins like Botox® are safe for almost everyone. Good candidates for these treatments are healthy adults with reasonable expectations. There is no ideal age to start treatment, and neurotoxin injections will prevent wrinkles from progressing. People with certain neuromuscular conditions should not have Botox® or its relatives.
