Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Kaitlyn is a Nationally Certified Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the College of St. Scholastica in 2009 and her Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) – Family Practice at St. Scholastica in 2017. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) prepares advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who are experts in specialized areas of practice to use systems leadership to improve health outcomes and advocate for health care policy focused on social justice and equity.

Kaitlyn is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and by the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Board. She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and holds the designation of a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner. This certification is awarded to those who have acquired specialized knowledge in dermatology and demonstrate proficiency through a written exam.

She has always had a special interest in dermatology and completed her DNP quality improvement project in skin integrity. What she loves about dermatology is that it applies to everyone and she gets to work with patients of all ages.

Kaitlyn lives in Duluth with her husband, two daughters, and a golden retriever. In her spare time, you can find Kaitlyn enjoying Duluth activities including walking her dog on the Lakewalk, finding agates, and participating in Grandma’s Marathon.

Favorite Product: My favorite is the Weekly Brightening Pad. I like it because it gradually treats pigment and uneven tone without being a cumbersome routine.
