Dr. Samuelson attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in Economics. He went on to graduate from the University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School, Alpha Omega Alpha in 1989. Dr. Samuelson completed his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center at the Presidio of San Francisco in 1990 and successfully completed his residency in 1996 in Dermatology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Samuelson is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. After completing his dermatology residency, Dr. Samuelson completed training in Moh’s micrographic surgery and has performed over 13,000 cases. In addition to skin cancer treatment, he has extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology with Botox, fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra), and laser/light treatments.  For 15 years, Dr. Samuelson owned and operated a private practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He then worked at the Arthur Ashe Center at UCLA for the past 6 years. Now he focuses all of his time doing Mohs surgery at Twin Ports Dermatology.

He is married and has three daughters.  His wife works as a Psychotherapist and his daughters are in Urology residency, Law School and obtaining her Masters of Psychology major.  His hobbies include reading history and philosophy, following UCLA athletics, Nordic-skiing, and cycling.
