What is Qwo®?

Most treatments for cellulite produce a temporary improvement, but they do not reach the cause of the problem. Cellulite results from a combination of factors, and only Qwo® works in three ways to reverse them

What is Cellulite?

The majority of women will develop cellulite somewhere on their bodies, most often on the thighs and buttocks. Cellulite has a dimpled, uneven appearance. The dimples come from fibrous bands of collagen that attach to the skin and the muscle underneath it. As these bands get tighter and less flexible, they pull down on the skin and create dimples. At the same time, these bands force fat to collect between them, causing some of the uneven appearance.

What is Qwo®?

As the only FDA-cleared injectable treatment for cellulite in women’s buttocks, Qwo® offers the most effective yet non-invasive cellulite treatment available. It uses enzymes called collagenases that break down the fibrous bands, releasing the skin and removing the dimple.

Qwo® also works by redistributing fat cells to reduce the appearance of bulges and make the area look smoother. In addition, over time, Qwo® will trigger the cells in the area to build new, healthy collagen. This collagen will help to tighten and firm the buttock area, improving smoothness and evenness.

What is Qwo® Cellulite Treatment Like?

Treatment with Qwo® takes from ten to thirty minutes. Your injection specialist will determine which dimples cause the most problems, then inject Qwo® directly into the area of those dimples so the enzymes can work on the fibrous bands creating them.

What Results Will I See With Qwo®?

Results take about ten weeks to develop fully. Women will receive a series of three treatments spaced three weeks apart. After ten weeks, you will see smoother, firmer, less dimpled skin. Results can last more than a year, making Qwo® long-lasting as well as effective.

Is There Any Downtime with Qwo®?

You will see some bruising at the injection sites after Qwo®. This will disappear within a few weeks and should become less noticeable after each treatment. You will not need to take any time off, and you can go back to work or other activities as soon as you have finished your treatment.

Am I A Good Candidate for Qwo® Cellulite Treatments?

Most women with significant cellulite in their buttocks make good candidates for this treatment. Anyone who may have an allergy to enzymes like collagenase may not make a good candidate. Anyone with an infection or active skin condition in the area should wait for this to improve before getting Qwo®.
