Laser skin resurfacing treats signs of aging skin such as hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and acne scarring. During your consultation, one of our laser providers will determine how laser skin resurfacing can give you the best results during your consultation.
Laser skin resurfacing is the combination of short bursts of pulsed light and radiofrequency energy that targets the skin to create areas of microinjury. These areas of microinjury remove damaged skin. The heat from the laser triggers the production response of the collagen and elastin cells in the skin, which increases skin cell turnover to reveal new, youthful layers of skin.
We use the CO2RE laser resurfacing treatment to achieve your skin treatment goals. The CO2RE laser is a customizable approach to laser skin resurfacing that can provide just a light laser resurfacing to be tailored to achieve the safest and deepest possible resurfacing needed.

Laser skin resurfacing is a non-surgical treatment for anti-aging. The aesthetic benefits of laser skin resurfacing include:
Most patients will need 1 treatment session to achieve the best results. Deeper acne scarring may require additional treatments all tailored to the individual patient
To best prepare for treatment, we recommend that you do not use any skincare that causes skin sensitivity, such as retinol, for 1-2 weeks before your laser skin resurfacing appointment. If you have an acne breakout or open wound, please call to reschedule your appointment. According to WebMD, you should also stop smoking at least 2 weeks before the procedure to promote better healing. Smoking can slow the healing process.

While there is no designated downtime needed with laser skin resurfacing, some patients take a few days of downtime during the initial healing phase. During the first few days after your treatment session, you may experience redness or soreness. We recommend that you wear sunscreen to protect your skin after treatment because it will be sensitive to sun exposure.
You may be a good candidate for laser skin resurfacing if you are not a smoker and have moderate skin concerns, such as wrinkles, uneven skin texture, or hyperpigmentation.
