Curious about chemical peels?
We don’t blame you. A chemical peel is an excellent solution for people who have a variety of complexion issues ranging from hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines, and uneven skin texture. With just a few peels, clients can achieve the kind of skin that makes them look years younger again.
But how often should you get those peels?
The answer depends on the strength of the peel that’s being used to treat your skin issues. Read on to discover the ideal chemical peel schedule you should follow based on the type of peel that’s right for you.

Schedule for Light Peels
If you’re getting a light peel – one that uses a fruit acid or salicylic acid – a good chemical peel schedule for you may be on a monthly basis. That’s because this peel isn’t as strong as other options out there, so your skin won’t be as sensitive or need as much time to recover between peels.
You’re a good candidate for a light peel if you have minor skin issues, like uneven skin texture.
Schedule for Medium Peels
Medium peels are usually made of glycolic acid, which is a great option for candidates who want to fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines, and acne scarring. Medium peels help remove the top layer of the dermal tissue, where this damage is most evident.
If you opt for a medium peel, you should expect to get one every four to six months.
Schedule for Deep Peels
A deep peel is a good option for candidates who have more intense requirements for their skin, like:
- Treating moderate wrinkles and fine lines
- Addressing severe hyperpigmentation and sun damage
- Minimizing deep acne and trauma scarring
- Treating uneven skin tone and texture
- And more
Deep peels are very aggressive, which is why it’s usually recommended that you get one once every few years.

Since you are unable to visit our med spa for a chemical peel, we do have some options for lighter weekly peels from our webstore:
Hydra Exfoliating Pads: This is our lightest, most gentle peel for those with dry, sensitive skin and Rosacea. Even with these skin types it is important to exfoliate.
Once a week apply 1 pad to your entire face in the evening after cleansing. Leave on for 30 minutes and then cleanse off. Do not apply anything else to your skin. Go to bed and wake up with glowing skin!
Weekly Brightening Pads: This is a great at home weekly peel for those with unwanted pigment, melasma or sun damage. Once a week apply 1 pad to your entire face in the evening after cleansing. With the first application, leave on for 2 hours and then cleanse off. If you tolerate this well, the next week you may leave it on overnight. Do not apply anything else to your skin. Go to bed and wake up with brighter skin!
Advanced Smoothing Pads: This is our strongest at home peel for those with textural issues, enlarged pores and fine lines. It is not recommended for dry and sensitive skin types.
